He graduated from Wyandotte High School, and then he joined the Navy. He was a Vietnam Veteran.
He married Kaye Talbott, and they resided in the Kansas City Northland for their entire marriage.
He was an electrician by trade, and loved fishing, travelling, and spending time with his family and his dog, Hopper.
He is survived by his wife Kaye; stepson, Michael Melton; brother, Frank Petsick (Omaha, NE); as well as many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents; his brother, David Petsick; and his sister, Pat Howell.
