He was born on May 11, 1942, in Hartford, Connecticut, to the late Halstead and Lana Morrell.
After high school graduation, he enlisted in the US Army and spent most of his active service in Germany. After his time in the military, he earned his BA degree from St. Mary’s College in California. Most of his professional career was working as a sales representative for national companies. In 1993 he found the Piedmont area to be his choice for future retirement. In 1997 he directed his sales experience toward insurance work and worked as an agent in the David Goodin Agency of Allstate Insurance in Taylorsville for two years and with Jim Love Agency for ten years.
Charles enjoyed many hobbies as well, including; watching old classical movies, TV westerns and doing biographical research on the actors. He will especially be remembered for his love of traveling and his passion of genealogical history of his family.
Charles is survived by his twin brother, Dudley and his wife Ann Morrell of Manchester, sister, Kathleen Morrell Wayner of Farmington, brothers, Craig Morrell of South Windsor and Gregory Morrell of Glastonbury, close friends, Joe and Linda Goodin of N.C, and many nieces and nephews.
