Alfred John Moreno Jr., affectionately known as Freddie, passed away on August 4, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on January 15, 1966, in Phoenix, Arizona, Freddie was the only son among six children and was cherished by his family. His adventurous spirit was evident from a young age, as he loved exploring the world around him. He had a passion for riding and fixing bikes, a hobby that evolved into restoring cars in adulthood. Freddie often helped his father with welding, inheriting his entrepreneurial spirit.
Freddie met his beloved wife, Virginia "Ginny" Moreno, through his sister Linda, and their love story began with his charming persistence. They married in 2010, and despite being opposites, with Freddie being the night to Ginny's day, they were perfectly matched. He was known for his spontaneous surprises and shared many jokes and memories with Ginny.
A night owl with an amazing sense of humor, Freddie was a charmer who could talk to anyone. He was strong-willed, hard-headed, yet soft-hearted. His love for music, especially oldies, was remarkable; he would sing, sway, and snap along, often sharing songs that reminded him of his loved ones.
Freddie was an original member of the Majestic Car Club, where he showcased the cars he restored. He was deeply loyal to his club, embodying the motto, "Once a brother, always a brother."
Freddie lived life on his terms, caring little for others' opinions, and leaving behind a legacy of humor, adventure, loyalty, and kindness. His family includes his wife Ginny, his mother Georgia Moreno, his sisters Margaret Lindsay, Herlinda Moreno, Susanne Kormos (Zoltan Kormos), Rosanne "Maria" Morales, his sons Jared Shinpaugh, Alfred Paul Moreno III, Christopher Moreno, Mauricio Moreno, his daughter Sabrina Moreno, his step-son Robert Chavez, two grandchildren, and many more family members and friends.
He leaves behind his children, Alfred Paul Moreno III, Sabrina Moreno, Christopher Moreno, and Mauricio Moreno, as well as his step-son, Robert Chavez. Additionally, Alfred is survived by two grandchildren and many more family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Alfred Moreno, his son Jared Shinpaugh, and his sister Carmen Rose Flores.
