Andy Rosales Martinez

Andy Rosales Martinez, 94, of Phoenix, Arizona entered into heaven on April 3, 2020 with his family by his side. Andy was born in Phoenix, Arizona on February 4, 1926 to Juan and Flora Martinez, the second of 11 brothers and sisters. Andy grew up in Tempe, known at the time as "The MIckey Mouse Neighborhood" helping his family by doing chores and working odd jobs for extra money.

When Andy was only 17 he joined the Navy to avoid the draft. After his honorable discharge he relocated to San Jose, California where he invested and became a co-owner of Pacific Roofing company; where he himself worked and was an expert roofer for 30 years. Andy met and married his wife Petra in February 2007 and they moved back to Phoenix, Arizona. Andy started a new career with Bashes/food city where he remained until he was 83 years old.

Andy leaves behind his wife of 14 years, Petra; his children Debbie Mendoza and Kathy Martinez; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close Friends

Andy is preceded by his parents Juan and Flora Martinez and his son Andy Gilbert Martinez.

Services are postponed at this time. Future service will be scheduled at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona so we can formally give him the tribute he deserves.

The family requests that you take the time to observe the history of "Mickey Mouse Neighborhood" as this was one of the things that Andy was most proud of.
