Angel was that “ un Angel “. He had the biggest heart full of love. He had a smile for everyone he saw. He was born to Eliseo and Refugio Huerta in Andrade, California on November 1, 1938. After graduating from Yuma Union High School, he joined the U.S Army, where he served his time humbly and honorably. Afterwards, he worked as a baker for many years and later got into the concrete construction business. He was a business owner and resided half his life in Glendale, AZ.
He loved the outdoors, especially camping. He also enjoyed good food, gardening, writing, drawing, road-trips, history, especially the construction of old and new buildings from around the world.
Angel loved sports, especially watching his Diamondbacks! He enjoyed watching professional basketball, college basketball, softball, and football. He attended several hundred games with friends and family, including a Super Bowl, an NCAA College Championship, the first National College Football Championship, the World Series, and a decade of Fiesta Bowls.
Though he lived a well-rounded life, he had many struggles through it but one thing that got him through those struggles and what Angel loved the most was his love for our lord and Savior Jesus Christ! He spent every night reading and writing scriptures and prayers down.
