Barbara J. (Gray) Blackman, 69, was called home to the Lord on December 27th after a long battle with lung cancer. Barbara was a loving mother to Debbie Hammel and Karen McKenzie (Brad), sister to Doris McDonald and Rosemary Brown, grandmother to Jon Papp, Jacob Stevens, Ashley McKenzie, and Jordan McKenzie, and great grandmother to Xander Stevens. Barbara was born in Queens, New York in 1943. In 1993 she relocated to Phoenix, AZ. Most recently she was employed at Northern Trust Bank and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially those from her congregation at Church of the Wind. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12 , 2013 at 10:30am at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave., Glendale.
