You are in Gods arms now, may you shine down on all of us. You were a great part of life here on earth. Touched many. You will be missed dearly, and thought of daily. BARBARA FRERICHS-MENDOZA -  TRIBUTE PAGE  September 27, 2012
Barbara had a profound impact on the Maricopa County Recorder's Office throughout her 38 years of service.  Her many contributions would be impossible to list.  She had a passion for her work and she was equally passionate about the office staff.  She shared her vision and was constantly providing innovative concepts to the employees as well as the IT department.  Barbara had a tremendous sense of humor and embodied all of the qualities of a true leader.

We all have fond memories to pass along.  We hope you will take the time to view some of the pictures of her journey at the Recorder's Office

I feel honored to have worked with Barbara. Her knowledge and vision was amazing. She always seemed to have the answer to every question and problem presented to her. She was always available whenever you needed her and never made you feel like you were interupting or bothering her.  She had a great sense of humor and laugh and I will miss her sayings of "Gomer" and "Goob"...She was a big part of this office and will be missed terribly.  But, I know she will always be around in spirit and help us along the way.

I have known Barbara for over 31 years; our relationship began when I was hired in the Recorder's office in 1982.  Barbara was my mentor and my friend.  She saw in me, what I didn't see in myself.  She taught me everything I know about this business and she was everything I wish I could be.  I respected, admired and loved Barbara very much!  Barbara was always willing to share her knowledge and herself.  I feel blessed to have known her all these years and that I was able to share in her triumphs.  But, I am especially proud to have been able to celebrate Barbara and her many, many accomplishments.  I don't know how I'll get on without her.  I have asked myself every day since her passing, “What can I do to honor her”?  I know in time this will be revealed.  But for now, I will honor Barbara by going to work.  It gives me comfort to know that I am a part of Barbara's legacy and I'm overwhelmed with pride to say this to anyone who will listen.  I will miss her laugh, her wisdom, her friendship, her love and support.  I will miss her every day!  Barbara was one of a kind.

I awakened this morning with a smile from Barb saying"ah hoo hoo". That was her saying every morning as she passed by me in the office. It would let me know that she was feeling good and it was to be a good day. I would just simply say "Yes it is. Everyday is a good day." I will miss that and miss our conversations we shared for encouragement.  Barb has moved on but she will remain in our hearts. May God comfort her family, give them strength and surround them with peace and joy.

It was an honor to know her and work with her.  My prayers for Barbara and her family continue.

I knew Barb when she first joined the Recorders Office.  She was fun and friendly, and a very hard worker.  We got into lots of trouble together (along with Georgina) and stood up for each other.  She will be missed.

It brings joy and love to my heart to see all the wonderful people that my Mother's life touched. I appreciate and thank you for all the heart felt comments you are leaving or will leave on this page.

Barbara had a heart of gold. She was never out to hurt people only help them no matter how little or how much it was and always with a smile & kindness. I am in shock and will miss her dearly.

Barbara was a friend and assosciate in our professional environment, but I also had the opportunity to see the personal side which was caring and considerate. I have a family member who shared similar health issues; Barabara was so kind to share her knowledge, experience and hopefulness in a supportive caring manner with us.  Our office often turned to Barbara to seek her knowledge and advice, which she openely shared.  She truly made a difference in our lives.  We will miss her dearly. Her friends and associates in the Pinal County Recorder's Office feel blessed to have known her and to have worked with her.  Our deepest sympathy is extended to her family and friends, whom we know meant the world to her.  She will always be remembered with the greatest fondness and admiration.

I am so sad to hear about Barbara. I went to grade school and high school with her. Tho I havent seen her since a class reunion years ago, I have wonderful memories of her. She always made me laugh with her great personality. She was so loved by all her Starlight Park friends. My thoughts are with all her family. Have a wonderful new journey, Barb.     Mary Fresco

I am so saddened to hear about Barbara's passing. I met Barbara through NACRC about 8 years ago.  She was such a great lady and always had an eye on the future.  She and I got to know each other better when we would venture out after conference meetings on our little "excursions" to see the local sights.  Barbara, you will be missed very much.  My condolences to Barbara's entire family.

This is so sad and shocking. I went to grade school and high school with Barbara; her life was her son. May God be with her family and this sad time.
