Barry Andrew Buhan

A proud veteran, Barry served his country in the United States Air Force with honor. After his military service, he continued to demonstrate his dedication and work ethic with a long career at Penske Truck Leasing, where he remained until his retirement.

Barry was much more than his career or his service. He was a beloved brother, uncle, friend, teacher, and neighbor — the kind of man who would lend a hand to a stranger and who never hesitated to share his vast array of skills with those around him. He spent countless hours volunteering in elementary school classrooms to help students learn to read. Whether fixing something, teaching someone how to do it, or simply offering anything he could to those around him, Barry had a gift for helping others and a heart to match.

He never sat still long — always looking for ways to contribute, to serve, and to make life a little easier for those around him. His presence, his stories, and his generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service to celebrate Barry's life will be held on June 14, 2025, at 3:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 7102 N. 58th Drive, Glendale, AZ 85301. All who knew him are welcome to attend and honor his memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness in Barry’s name — lend a hand, teach a skill, or simply be there for someone who needs you, just as Barry would have done.
