I've known Al and Caron for well, most of my life. " Uncle Al " was really my cousin on my mom's side, so other than a few adventures with " cus " , memories are always with the two of them. 
Fun times during the sand drag days, the Cinder events, survival actually, there life changing with the Alaska move, all part of their life's journey, that includes  the highs and lows, Carons resolve to see Al through his challenges , tough times, not the same with out him , then her fading health, and now back with Al.
She has found peace at  last, and was blessed to have some very special people , Jill and Earnest ,  neighbors , Chuck and others helping  her manage the  final chapter . When visiting and talking with her she spoke of those folks with a deep appreciation.  
Will miss her.

Caron was a dear friend and mentor from my early Alaska days. She  helped me navigate the scary math part  of my job! 

I loved lunch  with Caron .  It  frequently consisted of  nachos and margaritas at  La Mex.  😊 Those really were the days! Our dear friend Jill attended these lunch’s! Conversation was always lively!!

Which I could have spent more  time with her ! Will miss you friend❤️

Caron was my godmother, but to me she was always simply my aunt. She was the very first person to hold me when I was born, and from the very beginning she was a constant part of my life.
I have so many memories with her that I’ll always hold close. Fishing with her and Al in Alaska, catching geckos and toads in Hawaii, and listening to her share gardening tips—she had one incredible green thumb. She was also the first person to show me how good sliced tomatoes could be with salt and pepper… and she definitely loved her pepper.
Every Thanksgiving and Christmas you could find her right in the kitchen saying, “Give me something to do—how can I help?” And if there wasn’t anything to do, she was usually off playing with my daughter. My daughter loved seeing her and talking with her on the phone—except for those moments when her hearing aids had gone missing.
It’s hard to believe she’s gone. But I find comfort knowing she’s happy again, reunited with Al.
She meant so much to all of us, and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Caron is the best neighbor a family could ask for!  She and Al treated our kid like their own!  She was like a big sister to me!  She watched our house like a hawk!  We shared many meals, lots of camping stories, and of course a love for racing!  Our favorite family story to tell is when a crazy lady climbed on top of their camper and Al went to get his gun to get her down!  The police came and it was a whole ordeal and Caron missed the whole thing because she took her hearing aids out!!!  We are all so profoundly sad she is gone.  We know she is with her precious Al.  Their love is an inspiration!  They will both be forever in our hearts!  Love, Nancy and the entire Klein family

Caron was a dear friend and such a special part of our lives. She and Al were my son’s godparents, and we shared so many wonderful memories together—from a fun trip to Hawaii where she and I took my son to the beach while Al golfed, to happy times in Rocky Point.

She loved gardening and traveling with Al when he raced, and she spent many Christmases and Thanksgivings with our family. One of my favorite memories is her teaching me to eat tuna fish sandwiches with potato chips on them—something that will always make me smile and think of her.

We loved Caron dearly and wish we had many more years and holidays together. She will be greatly missed.

One of my favorite memories was of Caron and Al during Covid time.  My work was shut down and Al was at home after his car accident and needed care.  Caron was that care except when a nurse would come by weekly at 10:00.  One day I received a text from Caron and it stated something like, "Do you have any toilet paper and wipes?"  I did and asked if she needed it now or can I bring it tomorrow.  Tomorrow was fine.  I delivered a six pack of TP, a can of wipes and two boxes of face tissue.  At this point until Al had to go into memory care, I called every two weeks and took her order for toiletries as by 10:00 these items were gone.  This went on for a couple of months but at this point I was proud to be her and Al's nephew.  Love you both and miss you very much.
