Celia who goes by “Chelly” was dedicated to her family. She was the shelter in life’s tumultuous storm for them. She was kind and generous to her last breath. She shared a long full life and lived and died doing what she loved, being with family.
Celia is survived by her children Valerie Perez-Borgens, Camilla Perez, Ernest Perez, Judith Perez, Perry Perez, and Kenneth Perez, her grandchildren Noel McCan, Joshua McCan, Albert McCan, April Ellingson, Brandon Borgens, Aaron Borgens, Layla Borgens, Vincent Perez, Benji Perez, Chanel Perez, Vanessa Salazar, Janelle Romero, great-grandchildren Xavier Ahumada and Angel McCan and others too numerous to list, as well as great, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters Stella Chapa and Herlinda Piza.
Along with her parents, Celia is preceded in death by her husband Ben D. Perez, and her brother Hector Navarro.
A visitation will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, beginning at 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Celia will be laid to rest in Resthaven Park Cemetery located at 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, Az.
