Charles R. Evans, 67, passed away on November 13, 2014 in Peoria, AZ. He graduated from Camelback High School in 1965, and began his career in law enforcement, working 3 years for The City of Glendale Police Department, 19 years as a deputy for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, 5 years as a reserve deputy for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, and retiring after 8 years as an investigator for The State of Arizona. He was affiliated with the Fraternal Order of Police Maricopa Lodge 5 and Maricopa County Deputy Association. He was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his wife in Northern Arizona. Charles is survived by his wife, Cheryl; daughter, Charlene; son, Charles Jr.; 3 step-children, Lee, Justin and Robin; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. His big heart and his big hugs will be missed by all who knew him.
