Cipriano Holguin Hernandez Jr.

Cipriano Holguin Hernandez, 99, passed away on January 21, 2025. He was born in Watts, California on November 19, 1925, son of Cipriano Hernandez and Jesusita Holguin.

He married Stella Muniz on June 28, 1947. The union of their marriage brought three children.

Cipriano worked two jobs to support his family in the 60's, 70's and into the 80's at Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, California. All while working on his own sanitation business in Garden Grove, California. Eventually, his only focus was on his sanitation business and he left Douglas Aircraft.

In their younger years Cipriano and Stella enjoyed singing and dancing in various Mexican dancing saloons in California.

Cipriano's wife Stella of 61 years passed away on March 21, 2009. After her passing, he relocated to Arizona and married Isabel Velazquez. He and Isabel were together for 12 years before his passing.

Cipriano enjoyed passing time with drawing, sketching, painting, and woodworking while listening to his music.

Remaining to cherish his memory of his life are his children; son Ruben Hernandez, daughters Isabel Luna and Linda (Dennis) Knutson - along with his six grandchildren Casey, Corina, Magdalena, Matthew, Stella and Stephanie.

Cipriano's faith in God kept him strong through the years.

He was laid to rest along with Stella in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix.
