Connie Atencio Espinoza, 99 years of age from Glendale, Arizona passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024, into the presence of our Lord Jesus and eternal rest. She was born in 1925 in Chama, Colorado and resided in San Luis Valley most of her young life. She was married to the late Gerardo Cruz Espinoza in 1946 in Denver, Colorado. They eventually moved to Glendale, Arizona in 1946. She was employed as a seamstress with E.L. Gruber for over 25 years.
She is survived by one sister, Casilda Atencio Vigil (102 years old), nine children and their spouses, Alice, Jerry (Carla), Tommy (Anna), Steve (Nohemi), Dorothy, Freddie (Lynda), Patsy (David), Eileen, and Randy (Victoria). She also has been blessed with 28 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren, and 12 great, great grandchildren.
She was a loving person to her family and played a mother role to many people along the way. She was a woman of faith and loved to share the Word of God with any who would listen. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
