Dario Torrez Ruiz

Dario Torrez Ruiz, 80, passed away on June 25, 2020. He was born on December 19, 1939 in Glen Flora, Texas to the late Filomeno and Vidal Ruiz and moved to Arizona in 1950. He worked for over 30 years as a groundskeeper at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale. Dario enjoyed working in the yard and going to yard sales, he liked his Mexican music and playing the guitar, and he loved spending times with his grandkids. Dario is survived by his two sons Dario L. Ruiz (Diana) and Rene Ruiz (Irene), 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 6 siblings, John Ruiz, Lupe Ruelas, Ramona Ramirez, Natalie Leon, Donna Leyva, and Polly Gomez. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 35 years, Henrietta Ruiz, and his sister Enemencia Saenz.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing being held on Monday, July 6, 2020 from 4-8 PM with a 7 PM rosary at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ. Mass of Christian Burial will be held the next day, Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 5614 W Orangewood Ave, Glendale, AZ.
