Jim and I will treasure the many years of memories our families have shared together.  The races to the fire station when the whistle blew.  Our trips to Mexico, sleeping at the border and finding the road through the dump at night, and more recently our trip to Branson with a 1982 road map, our adventgures of camping trips and short hikes that lasted the entire day, along with dinners out and countless card games. Dear Aunt Pearl,
Our hearts go out to you during this difficult time.
We are so sorry for your loss.
Uncle David always was an important person in our life. We share so many great moments we had when we stayed with you.
I`m so thankful that I, as a young boy searching for his father in the states, had the chance to visit you and uncle David.
And there, when I got off the Greyhound bus, I met him the first time (1972). He took me in his arms, just like being one of his kids.
That was uncle David, always friendly,helpful and , was I really liked, very humorous.
This picture of him will always be in our hearts.
Thank you uncle David for so many wonderful times.

Pearl Thomas, I am so sorry for the loss of a great husband and loving father. May god continue to give you strength, peace, and well being. I heard so much from your daughter,Tracy, that he was such a great person, who will truly be missed by many.

I sent a message yesterday, but can't find it in the list.  Want to be sure you know I'm thinking of you, Pearl.  I have to teach today because of Fair preparations. The family pictures were touching and displayed the love you all shared throughout the years.  Such wonderful times together! David, you will truly be missed.  I will never forget my first airplane ride that you took me on and the many trips into Mexico (through the dump, just to get to that special beach area) that our families went on.  You were a very caring and loving man.

Words can not express how sorry we are for your loss.  David will truly be missed!  So many memories fill our hearts and minds.  We will always laugh at all the good times camping, Christmas tree hunting, Mexico trips and family outings.  We Love you all so much.

Such a sweet-natured, hard-working man was your husband, Pearl. So much work has been put into your home.  I remember the little church we belonged to here in the valley.  Because of a recent injury to my leg and commitment to complete projects with the kids at Young Public School on Thursday I am unable to attend the services. For over 50 years we've had the privilege of calling David our friend.  So many good times to remember. When we visited in Young, it gave us a real sense of life in the Old West and we loved it.  Thank you for all the beautiful memories that will last our lifetime.  Love ya.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Thomas family at this time of loss.  I have many memories of the big fireplace he built at the house in Peoria and riding in his green pickup with the emergency light on it, in the laste 60's. I don't know a finer man, father and husband.  God Bless.

I can remember it like it was yesterday,
Jo, Jan, Von and I were in our pre-teens 
when all the families (The Wilson Thomas's, The Dick Thomas's, The Jack Jennings, The Jim Dunbars, The Russell Jackson's met at Alonzo (Grandpa) and Roena (Grandma) Thomas's home in Peoria,
Arizona to welcome home David returning
from serving in the U.S. Navy - The great
surprize was meeting his beautiful wife Pearl (Aunt Pearl) and we were all instantly in love with her. It was a tradition to meet every Sunday at Grandma & Grandpa Thomas's home for lunch.
This tradition lasted several years, with
memories of picking Grapes from the vineyard - peanuts  from the peanut plants, apricots from the apricot tree,
playing with our Cousins - followed by a trip to Dave and Pearl's home to watch a
performance on the "Flying Trapeze.  We were so proud of Uncle David and Aunt
Pearl as we watched them perform at the Arizona State Fair  (WOW!!!) without a net.

Pearl and Family,
My heart hurts for all of you for the loss of your Husband, Father,and Friend, he was and still is so close to my heart and memories  so many memories with such a love and respect and treasures of who he was and still is to me and all of my family.
