Edward Ray Hartman passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on May 3, 1952, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, to James Nelson Hartman and Eva Jean Hartman. Known for his ability to always leave people laughing, Edward's legacy is one of joy and laughter. Edward was a beloved, cherished, honest, humorous, kind-hearted, loyal, and thoughtful individual who touched the lives of many.
He is survived by his wife, whom he was married to for 52 years, Mary Louise Hartman, and his daughters, Jennifer Garver (Robert Garver) and Janelle Anglemyer (Jim Anglemyer). His siblings, Nancy Sinioris, Kathleen Theis, Cheryle Hunter, Jim Hartman, Cindy Westlund, and Jackie Hartman, also survive him. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles "Chuck" Hartman. Edward is also survived by his grandchildren, Jade Allyson Haren, Cale Edward Garver, and Dylan James Garver. As well as uncle to 19 nieces and nephews.
Edward had a lifelong passion for music, earning him the nickname "The Music Man." He also had a love for sports, having played football, basketball, and baseball, with a particular talent for football.
Edward's career was marked by his dedication and hard work. He spent many years as a salesman with Coors and later with Saturn. After retirement, he continued to contribute to his community by working part-time as a school bus driver.
Eddie Hartman will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on August 30, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, located at 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301.
The funeral service will follow at the same location from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
