She was born in Colorado City, Texas on February 17, 1935 to the late Albert and Lavella Moore.
Edyth married Jesse Cox on April 14, 1952. They had four sons and shared just over 68 years of marriage prior to his passing on April 28, 2020.
Edyth worked as a bookkeeper for several different businesses, including the City of Surprise, and her families company.
She is survived two sons Rick (Judy) Cox & Perry (Divina) Cox, four siblings Gloria Barnes, June Strong, Laverta (Jerry) Ward & Albert (Janet) Moore, Jr., nine grandchildren Riki, Angelina, Stephanie, Danny, Jesse, Sarah, Liane, Jhio & Beverly and eight great grandchildren Zoye, Zach, Vivian, Sebastian, J.J., Elise, Riley, Brody.
In addition to her husband and parents, Edyth was preceded in death by two sons J. Craig Cox & Michial Cox, sister Barbara Miles and granddaughter Lindsay.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Thursday, April 28, 2022 from 9-10AM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. Graveside services will follow at 10AM at Resthaven Park Cemetery..
