Elizabeth was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She would always tell us that and how much she loved us before she would hang up the phone. She loved her dogs Fritz, Blackie and Buster that filled her life. Elizabeth would always say that people should rescue animals. She loved to cook and made the best oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that all the neighborhood kids would come over to eat, even though she has never eaten one herself. Mark remembered one time a boy she didn’t recognize was in the kitchen getting cookies and never saw him again after that. Elizabeth loved to watch old movies and gave Eileen and Jay recommendations on several occasions that they did watch. She loved being in a miniature club and had a talent for making dollhouses and miniature scenes. Also, she taught a craft class on many different cruises. Elizabeth loved making different types of greeting cards that she would give to people in the nursing homes so they could give them to their loved ones. She had many longtime friends who always visited on Wednesdays and Fridays. She had a heart of gold and will be severely missed.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Johnston, her parents Carl and Margaret Arnett, siblings Carl Arnett, Jr. and Louise Bodziony.
Service will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2025 at West Resthaven Cemetery on Northern Avenue in Glendale, Arizona.
