

He was born in Topeka, Kansas on March 4, 1965. He was the son of Patricia A. Parr and the late John D. Parr of Phoenix, AZ
Greg graduated from Silver City High School in Silver City, NM 1983 and received his BA in Art Education with minor in Art History from Eastern Kentucky University.
He was married to his devoted wife Cathy Wiggins Parr, formerly of Rockingham, North Carolina on October 1, 2012.
Greg had a career in Art education in School Districts in Phoenix, AZ. He was also a free lance illustrator and professional visual artist.
He was a member of The Justice Art Coalition. He had a passion for Art, World/ United States History specifically Civil war history and genealogy.
He is survived by a son; Brandon J. Thorpe and a grandson, Casper Thorpe of London Kentucky,
A brother, Jeffrey Parr of Phoenix and a sister, Gail Parr Hill of Phoenix as well as his aunt, Shirley Ashton Foster of Powhatan Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Justice Art Coalition or The Norman Rockwell Museum.
