Harlan Neal Jackson

Retired 1st Sergeant Harlan Neal Jackson, 84, beloved father and Papa, passed away on November 7th, 2023 peacefully in his sleep at home in Glendale, AZ.

Harlan was born on September 2nd, 1939 to Linwood Stanley Jackson and Dorothea Laura McIntire in Solon, Maine. He enlisted in the Army in September 1956 where he served honorably until his retirement in August of 1980. After his service, he entered into the civil service field where he served for another 20 years until his second retirement in 2002. He returned to his roots and started his retirement in Maine and eventually settled in Glendale, AZ until his passing. An avid Boston Red Sox fan, Harlan loved spending time with his grandchildren, dog Gizmo, playing cribbage, watching westerns and sports.

Harlan was predeceased by his Father - Linwood Stanley Jackson, Mother - Dorothea Laura McIntire, Sisters - Annette Brewer and Doreen Wood. Mr. Jackson is survived by his Sister - Linda Kosienski and husband Fred, Son - Harlan Jackson Jr. and wife Diana, Daughter - Casandra Jackson Roberts, Son - James Jackson and wife Nicole, Daughter - Jennifer Wesolowski. Grandchildren - Jackson Roberts, Grace Cohalla, Bailee Wilkerson and husband Doug, Dakota Jackson, Noah Jackson, Carson Wesolowski, and Brynn Wesolowski. Great-Grandchild - Kolten Wilkerson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to a local charity.

Harlan will be taken to his final resting place in Maine by family in 2024.
