Henry Acosta Guzman also known as Platano by friends passed away on February 9, 2024, with his loving family by his side. One of twelve children he was born Enrique Acosta Guzman on December 24, 1938, in Cashion to the late Jose and Hilaria Guzman.
On April 24, 1966, Henry married Mary Duran. They have shared almost 58 years of marriage.
His wife Mary, two daughters Julie Guzman & Tracy (Dave) Shaw, six grandchildren Ashley Shaw, Fernando Duran, Enrique Shaw, Johannah Shaw, Harley Guzman & Ty Shaw, one great-granddaughter Katherine Shaw, and eight siblings, survive him.
In addition to his parents, Henry was preceded in death by three siblings.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 12-1 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. Funeral services will begin at 1 PM with burial to follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery.
