87 of Glendale, AZ , Born in Phoenix, AZ on July 31, 1924. Passed away December 27, 2011. He served in the US Navy during World War II abroad U.S.S. L.S.T. 574. Ignacio was a lifetime member of the Catholic church, Knights of Columbus #3855, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Post 29 & Labors International Union of North America. Preceded in death by his wife Amelia Gutierrez Hernandez, son Ignacio G. Hernandez Jr., parents Fernando & Margarita, sisters Paula Hernandez & Amelia Sanchez, brothers Wilfredo &Gusto, niece Susana Yanez. Survived by son Anthony David Hernandez (Asmeralda), daughter Barbara Cruz, grandsons, Anthony, Alfonso, Alejandro & Matthew, 1 great grandson, brother Inez Hernandez (Angie), sisters Frances Sandoval (Emilio), Isidra Arreola (Juan). Viewing will be held Friday, January 6th, 2012, from 5-8pm, Rosary at 7pm, at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 W. 59th Ave, Glendale. Mass will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012, at 10am, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Glendale. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice of the Valley , 9720 W.
