Irene Vasquez Garcia

Irene Vasquez Garcia became our angel and earned her wings on January 1, 2021. She joined her loving husband of 43 years, Max G. Garcia, who passed away on January 22, 2019.

Irene was born in Phoenix on August 21, 1941 to the late Alejandro and Teresa Vasquez.

She is survived her children Robert (Teresa) Cortez, Edward Cortez, Becky Burrola, Christina Cortez-Chavarria, Lorie Cortez, Sarah Garcia, Stella (Javier) Vasquez, Ermelinda Garcia, and Jazmine Cortez-Garcia, sister Teresa Garcia and brother Alex Vasquez. Irene is also survived by 25 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, a few great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 12-1PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6540 W Northern Ave, Glendale with the funeral services beginning at 1:00PM. Irene will be laid to rest with Max at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
