Janice Marie Core

Janice Marie (Green) Core (79) of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on Tuesday November 20, 2018. She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on April 5, 1939. Janice graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1958. Janice married Donald Edgar Core on July 10, 1959. Janice worked for many companies throughout her lifetime, but most important was being a homemaker and raising, not only her own children and grandchildren, but a host of neighborhood, family, and children of close friends, who considered her as their second mom, and she loved them as if they were her own. Janice had a passion for knitting and crocheting and dubbed as the "family photographer" and was the "Keeper of records, photos and family history”. She donated plasma twice a week for 37 years. She is survived by the Love of her Life Donald E Core; son Timothy D (Jessica) Core of Houston, TX; daughter Kimberly K (Stephen) Maggio of Scottsdale, AZ; son Steven D (Julie) Core of Glendale, AZ; son Rodney D (Cari) Core of Prescott Valley, AZ; Jeffrey T Core (deceased); Grandchildren: Bryan (Samantha) Core; Jesse (Lorielle) Core; Cody (Dee) Core; Julia Cleveland; Amanda (Adam) Lindsey; Justin (Mackenzie) Core; Kyle Core; Katlin (Aaron) Pettyjohn; Chase (Jaquelin) Town; Bailey (Christina) Core; Brandi Town; Tawny Town; and Matthew Maggio; Great grandchildren: Kaylynn, Lincoln and Merek Lindsey; Callie Core; Travis, Ella and Aleena Reader; Jaxson and Grayson Core; Leighton Mains; Clayton Core; Carson Town; and many dear nieces and nephews.

Services for Janice will be held on Friday November 30, 2018 at 3pm at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary West Chapel (entrance at rear of building) Glendale, Arizona.
