Jeanette Obert was born on June 19, 1941, in Indiana, the eldest of eight children. She later moved to Arizona with her family, attended St. Mary’s, and graduated in 1959. She went on to study education and music at Arizona State University.
On October 1, 1966, she married Alexandre Bordeleau and became Jeanette Bordeleau. She was the devoted mother of six children and grandmother to five, loving them all deeply. Known for her big, beautiful heart, she brought warmth and joy to everyone around her. Her singing was angelic—so beautiful it seemed to move the heavens.
Jeanette dedicated over 40 years to teaching, leaving a lasting impact as a master educator in both public schools and the Catholic diocese. A devout Roman Catholic, she attended Mass every Sunday and prayed the rosary daily.
She will be remembered for her humor, feisty spirit, beauty, kindness, and generosity. She is deeply missed.
She is survived by her children, Laurette, Paul, Charles, Renee, and Philippe, and her grandchildren, Kayleigh, Darren, and Sarah.
