

JoAnn was born in East St Louis, IL, travelling around the United States with her husband, mother in-law and children, as a military wife (USAF) and working mother. She worked for Cummins Diesel over 30 years both in TX and AZ. JoAnn loved her Catholic community here in AZ @ St Louis the King and St Thomas More. Throughout her life she was a Girls Scout Leader, Boy Scout Den Mother, softball coach, Religious Education teacher, a loved parent mentor to the youth of St Louis the King PYO, marriage preparation teacher and a minister of care, providing communion to the sick.
JoAnn was preceded by her youngest son, Henry Alfred Goodrow in 2014. She leaves her loving and devoted husband, Edward Thomas Goodrow, Sr., her children, Sherrie Jo Hunt (husband John), LouAnn Archer (husband Corby), Edward T. Goodrow, Jr (girlfriend Lisa) and Kim (Al's wife). She also leaves 14 grandchildren: Natalie, Shannon, Benny, Julie, Quentin, Rion, Cyndy, Terra, Edward III, Julia, Kristin, Lindsey, TJ and David, along with 33 great grandchildren (just too many to name), as well as, many loving nieces, nephews, caregivers and friends.
JoAnn’s immediate family will receive friends and family, Tuesday, December 22nd from 5:00 to 7:00 pm @ The Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N 59th Ave in Glendale with a small reception to follow. A Liturgy will be celebrated, 10:30 am, Wednesday, December 23rd, St Thomas More, 6180 W. Utopia Rd, Glendale with the burial celebration to follow @ Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 9925 W Thomas Rd. Avondale. The Family request in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Firebird Assisted Living, 7179 W. Firebird Dr, Glendale, AZ, 85308. Friends and family are invited to attend any or all services to celebrate JoAnn’s life!
