Joe X. Rosell, age 90, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born April 11, 1935, in Chihuahua, Mexico, Joe later made his home in Phoenix, Arizona, where his life became a shining example of what it means to build, provide, and uplift others.
From the beginning, Joe’s story was one of movement, determination, and hope. He was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, and later moved to Arizona, where he attended college. Not long after, his hard-working spirit and resilient drive led him to start his own business in commercial and residential fencing—work that would become both his livelihood and a lasting mark on the community.
Joe spent many years working throughout the valley and built not just one, but two successful fencing companies. His career reflected the steady strength of a patient craftsman—someone who believed that doing the job right mattered.
Family was at the heart of everything Joe did. He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Sharon Rosell, 13 children, 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, and his generous love was felt in the everyday ways he showed up, kept going, and made sure those he loved had what they needed.
Joe’s impact reached far beyond his own household. He served as the President of the mexican american chamber commerce and received many awards, including contractor of the year. True to his generous nature, he also donated his time to provide fencing for churches who were in need—quiet acts of service that spoke loudly about his character and the way he chose to live.
Above all, Joe will be remembered as a calm and patient man—resilient in the face of challenges, and steady in the way he met life with grace and charisma. His legacy lives on in the family he raised, the work he built, and the many people and places made better because he was part of their story.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301, on March 28, 2026, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
A Committal Service will follow at Saint Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N 48th St., Phoenix, AZ 85008, on March 28, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
