Kathy, you will be missed. Kathy and I became friends early in our teens when we lived across the street from each other in Lancaster. Our moms were both working single parents and “trusted” all of us kids to take care of each other. So good or bad, we raised each other. I have so many fond memories of Kathy and her crazy ways. One thing I will always believe is that she had no fear. How we survived those years is beyond me. But it shaped me, and I’m sure it shaped her as well. We were inseparable. She had my back, and I had hers. Davey would say Kathy would lie about it and I would swear to it. 
After Kathy and Davey became parents, I helped out with babysitting while they worked. Such a huge responsibility for two so young, but they took it on and came out the other end stronger. So many memories...Driving in Davey’s always “almost fixed” GTO with Kathy, toddler Davey Lee & infant Cho Cho to LAX to pick Davey up after returning from boot camp. I think this was the first time Davey met his new son Cho Cho...The crazy midnight drive to Las Vegas when they got married...Summers spent with them in Fort Ord eating “catsup soup” between paychecks...Late nights jumping on the beds with the kids...Spending long lazy days at the beach with the kids, then frantically cleaning the apartment before Davey got home...Seeing the love on Kathy’s face after each of her kids were born. With the topper being Davisha. She was perfect. 
Kathy and I lost touch geographically after she moved to Arizona, but we remained BFF’s. Kathy seemed much more grounded after meeting Digger and I am eternally grateful to him for taking such good care of my friend. 
Our friendship endured the years and was always there when we would re-connect. I considered her my closest friend, loved her and will miss her forever. 


I don’t think I could just share 1 or a few memories of my mom. How does one wrap up 44 years of memories in a short paragraph? What I do remember the most about momma is that she may not have been the greatest mom, she did the BEST DAMN job she could and knew how to and that’s what she taught me about being a mom.  That I  would make mistakes as mom’s, but as long as I never gave up and did my damn best one day my children would know how much I’ve always loved them. Momma was the biggest, baddest momma bear you might met and she would do anything to protect her kids, even if it meant taking one of our secrets with her when she passed. There’s NOTHING she wouldn’t have done for me or my brothers. I had the pleasure of working with momma at Cigna, where she helped me get a job and again at Bechtel where I introduced her to my colleagues and EVERYONE LOVED HER.  Many, many times she would message my saying “Hey Bobo you wanna go get a picnic basket? You fly, I buy.” I know my mom was more than just a loving,giving woman, she was stubborn, and ornery which are just a few words to describe this amazing women.  I will miss my momma so much. A friend shared with me recently there were probably times I prayed to god to take away her pain or if I could just take away her pain I would in a heartbeat. Well she’s no longer in emotional or physical pain and it’s now my turn to carry this pain she felt for so very long, but it’s ok, because I know she’s at peace now, and I’m stronger than I think I am, because after all I am her daughter. One of the strongest women I’ll ever meet. I love you more than all the stars in the sky...Chick-Coo

 Kathy was firecracker in her youth. I remember when we went anywhere with her,, we had to practically run to keep up because she always was speed walking,even in heels. When davisha and I were young(8 or 9yrs old) we went to the movies. We came home went to sleep and in the morning both of our moms had put their bras in the freezer. I guess they went out drinking and got hot, that was their solution to the problem. 
She will be missed by many people. I know this, however, she will be remembered fondly and live on through some of my fondest memories of her! You taught me to fight for what I believe in and strive for what I deserve no matter what others think. Thank you for making me a better human and woman!

Kathy (Sassy) is my sister.  She was my ride or die for a while.   We were inseparable.  My childhood memories are of her walking me to Jane Reynolds Park all the time.  Taking me everywhere with her.   Spending many nights with her  and Davey.  Baby sitting their kids which is where I took on the name of Mocaduck because they couldn't  say Monica.  
We lived together for a while.  She became my labor coach with Jaymie.  She came to my doctor appts.  And was there thru a very rough beginning with Jaymie.   She was so proud to be Daddy Kathy!
These are my fondest memories and above all else...She was my sister and she was loved.
