Leona Mae passed away peacefully on March 3rd, 2024, she was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on October 12, 1932. Leona was preceded in death by her parents, Manual and Bertie, her husband, Arthur W. Neitch, Brothers Albert, Ed, Robert, and Sisters Ella, Mildred, Lucile, Inez, and Ines. Leona is survived by her children, Almeda Williamson, H. Wayne Neitch (Veronica), Donna Hubbert, Walter Neitch (Kathy). 14 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great grandchild. She retired from Revlon Cosmetics. Leona was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for 55 plus years holding all local chairs. She was the local Charity Chairman for City of Hope most of those years. Leona loved spending time with her family, camping, playing bingo and spending time in the casino. Leona was the best mother a family could ask for.
A visitation for Leona will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. A graveside service will occur Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301.
Directly following the graveside services a memorial, celebration and potluck will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 7575 N 67th Ave, Glendale Arizona, 85301
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Leona’s honor be sent to the City of Hope Foundation.
