

80 of Sun City, passed away on October 19, 2013. Born in Duncan, OK on January 3, 1933 to Leonard and Lillian Williams. Relocated to AZ in 1941 where he graduated from Pima High School. Leo enlisted in the USAF (Korean War Veteran) and married Audrey Duer of Staplehurst, NE in 1955. He attended Phx College and graduated from ASU in 1965 with intentions of teaching school. He instead embarked on a 35 year career in aerospace engineering with AiResearch/ Garrett/ Allied-Signal/ Honeywell and retired in 1991. Leo was predeceased in death by his parents, 1 brother, 1 sister, wife Audrey, a son-in-law ad a granddaughter. He is survived by brother Gaylon of St. David, sister Melva of Phx, son Robert, daughters Dian Williams and Karen Gutierrez, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Although confined to a wheelchair for 21 years Red still enjoyed ASU football, traveling, his summer retreat to Blue Ridge, many friends and family. He was an active member of the American Legion Post 62 and Korean War Vets Association. Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N 59th Ave, Glendale, Az 85301 on Wednesday, October 23 from 5-8pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Thursday, October 24 at 10am. Interment will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
