Les Earl Newkirk

Les Newkirk, 66, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 8, 2012. Les was an Arizona native, born in Phoenix on April 11, 1946, graduated from Alhambra High School and Northern Arizona University. He was preceded in death by his father Lester and nephew Kirk. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jan, children Michelle, Rhonda (Mark), Donny (Teresa), granddaughters Brenna, Kayla, and Tiffany, his mother Agnes, sister Sheryl, nephews Kurtis and Kory, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was an incredible husband, father, coach, musician, athlete, and outdoorsman. He was also a generous man, giving of his time and resources to those in need. Les was a true Friend of God, loved his family, his friends, his Harley, and his Labrador, Molly. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 12/12/12, at 10:00 AM at Glendale Christian Church, 9661 N. 59th Ave. Condolences may be offered at www.greenacresglendalemortuary.com
