

Linda was born in Mohawk, West Virginia, to Edward Lee Rakes and Violet Catherine Blankenship, both of whom preceded her in death. She carried her Appalachian roots with pride and warmth throughout her life.
In 1974, Linda married the love of her life, Jay Dee Parker. Together they built a beautiful and adventurous life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories until his passing in 2010. Their marriage was a true testament to devotion and partnership.
Linda was known for her kind and gentle spirit and her deep love for family. She treasured family gatherings and was especially famous for her deviled eggs, a holiday tradition that will be fondly remembered for years to come. Her home was always a place of warmth, comfort, and togetherness.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Jay Dee Parker; and her sisters, Charlotte Modelski and Deborah Maggard.
She is survived by her brother, Timothy Rakes; her nieces and nephews, Edward Rakes (Donna), Michael Modelski (Tonia), Linda Ann Zamora (Anthony), Robin Hammon (Tim), Dustin Modelski, Jaydee Modelski, Adam Rakes, Shannon Wiseman (Jeremy), David, Violet, Joshua, and Noah; along with many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.
Lynn will be remembered for her sweet spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the joy she brought to every gathering. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
