Age 79, passed away on October 13, 2011. Lucille was born January 31, 1932 in Cairo, Nebraska to Ralph Edmund and Helen (Catron) Cox. Lucille grew up in San Diego, California where she met and married Bill Hughes and became a Navy Wife. The family moved back to Bill’s home state of Arizona in 1965. Lucille was a homemaker and also worked for Mountain Bell for many years. Lucille was first and foremost a caring mother and wife. Lucille is survived by 4 sons and their wives; Craig (Pam), Mark, Tim (Amy) and Jerry (Penny); 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and her sister Beverly Opheim. Lucille was preceded in death by Bill, her husband of 60 years. Visitation will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ, on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 from 5 to 8 pm. Memorial service will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home, on Wednesday October 19, 2011 at 9 am. Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., at 11 am, October 19, 2011.
