Marjorie Fay Darby (March 31, 1935 – September 12, 2018) went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after struggling with health issues for some time. She received excellent care at a Christian Facility in Paulden, Arizona.
Marjorie was born in Glendale, Arizona where she attended Glendale Union High School. She received both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree from Arizona State University.
While she spent 28 years teaching elementary children, it was preceded by 11 years working at the First National Bank. Marjorie was an accomplished artist as well, and her paintings continue to be enjoyed by family members. The Lord gave her a beautiful soprano voice which she used to glorify God in the church choir. Upon her retirement she moved to Prescott, Arizona where she was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents H.R. Darby and Violet Darby; brother b. Jack Darby. She is survived by her brother John R. Darby (wife Sandra); nephews Phillip Darby (wife Nancy) and Rick Darby (wife Deborah); niece Michelle Darby; great nephews Steven and Dakota Darby; and great nieces Morgan and Revah Darby.
A Memorial service will be held at the Chapel of the Chimes 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale, Arizona on October 4, Thursday, at 10am.
