Mark James Chavez

On November 4, 2021, our beloved Mark James Chavez went to be with our Lord. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona on July 25, 1967. To the excitement of his parents Tony & Henrietta Chavez, along with siblings Anthony, Lorraine, Danny and our Auntie Terry Chavez (Ramirez). We all took turns taking care of our little brother and when he grew up to be the handsome young man that he was, he left home after high school and joined the US Navy. Mark was a "Rangerman" aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger in San Diego, California.

He traveled the seas and got to see what the far country looked like. It was his will to live his life on his own terms that led to Mark's Prodigal Son story in the Bible. Mark left the protection of his family home and tested the waters of the far country. Ultimately Mark came to his senses and despite suffering from a chronic illness that caused him to die suddenly. Mark was able to know his Lord and Savior Jesus in his final days. Mark is now with Him and at Peace because he gave his heart to the only one who could transform him JESUS CHRIST.

Mark's last words to his sister were "But I have Jesus!" God took him home that very day.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
