Mary “Bangy” Corpus, 52, of Youngtown Arizona, passed away peacefully on July 8th, 2018 after a long three months of medical care and rehabilitation due to an unfortunate motorcycle accident on March 25, 2018. She was born to Mary and the late Andrew Mejia on April 14th,1966 in Phoenix, AZ. Mary attended West High School. And during her high school years met Pete who became the love of her life.
Mary worked in a variety of fields but held most of her positions in State and County agencies. She loved to bake but had a passion for the latest baking wares and gadgets. This made it easy for her love of cupcakes and then donuts. The family would travel to Vegas often and Mary’s only want was to tour the Hershey and M&M’s World. Mary had a few things she enjoyed and loved but she truly had an obsession with shoes and Tupperware and Rubbermaid (essentially plastic containers). Mary learned to ride a motorcycle, got a bike of her own and loved to ride next to her husband as often as she could. They were inseparable. She loved her jewelry and would make sure to let everyone know that her husband got it for her. What she really loved most was her family.
Mary is survived by her husband Pete Corpus, their daughters, Brittany and Alexis and their son, Peter, their grandson Adrian, her mother, Mary Mejia, her 2 brothers and 2 sisters and their 4 dogs, Bella, Heidi, Chloe, Skittles.
A memorial service will be held at The Chapel of the Chimes on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 12:00pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Peoria Community Center.
Life is short. Don't let one second go by without telling those you love how you feel or putting off that special something for another day. So, don't take anything for granted because that one moment can be taken away in a blink of an eye. Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory
