Mitzi Jeannette Blain

Mitzi was born on January 27, 1934 in Redlands, California to Peter and Ethel Beer. She grew up in Beaumont and attended Beaumont schools from kindergarten through high school, forming many lifelong memories and friendships there.

She shared a loving marriage of 70 years with her husband, Weldon Blain, who preceded her in death. Together they built a life centered on faith, family and devotion to one another.

Mitzi is lovingly remembered by her children - son David Blain and daughter-in-law Rosanna of Arizona; daughter Cyndi Puffer and son-in-law Gunther of South Carolina; and son Kevin Blain and daughter-in-law Mimi of South Carolina.

She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Nicole Blain, Brittany Bales, Heidi Hayden, Hans Puffer, Joanna Blain, and Madeline Blain, and a joyful great-grandmother to Emily and Caitlin Hayden. Her family was the greatest blessing of her life.

Mitzi was a faithful member of Beaumont First Christian Church (where she played piano in Sunday school) and, later, Yucaipa Christian Church. She was an active member of Christian Women’s Fellowship. Her faith was an important part of her life and she carried it with quiet strength and kindness.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her but her family finds comfort in knowing that she is at peace in her heavenly home.

Funeral services will be at 11:00AM on Friday, April 24 at Mt. View Cemetery, 1315 Edgar Ave., Beaumont.
