Robert Lee Swadley

Robert (Bob) Lee Swadley passed away, with his family by his side, on April 29, 2024 in Glendale, Arizona at the age of 81. He was born on September 17, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late David and Virginia Pfefer. His late stepfather, Quinten David Swadley, was instrumental in Bob’s rearing.

Bob married Edith Helen Johnson, his teenage sweetheart, on June 15, 1961. They shared over 62 wonderful years of marriage prior to her passing on October 6, 2023. Bob and Helen held a real estate license for over 50 years and were owners of many successful businesses. He always had a solution to any problem. Bob was passionate about real estate, both residential and commercial but his true passion was re-building and painting classic cars his entire life. If you knew Bob you knew just how many car projects were still in progress.

Bob leaves behind his three children daughter Sandy (Marc) Hacker, son Robert (Lolita) Swadley Jr., & daughter Kathie (Jonathan) Dalton, six grandchildren and their spouses, and nine great grandchildren (with a tenth due in October).

Bob was be laid to rest along with Helen in a private service for the immediate family at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM at The Swadley Family Home; 6721 W. Evans Drive in Peoria to honor Bob's memory as family and friends gather to share stories, memories, and pay tribute to a life well lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made MD Anderson Cancer Center or a charity of your choice.
