Rosie Lillian (Vest) Schluth, 92 of Glendale, Arizona entered into heaven on November 24, 2021 with her children at her side. Rosie was born in Rockbridge, Virginia to George A. and Mollie Myrtle (Hundley) Vest, one of three children, on April 29, 1929.
Rosie attended school in Rockbridge. When she was just eighteen years, Rosie decided to leave home and start her own life. From there she worked different jobs until she met the love of her life, John J. Schluth, who was in the Air Force. They began their journey and lived wherever John was stationed. Rosie loved being able to see the world. Together they had three sons, John, and the twins, David and Patrick. Rosie took a position at (NIH) the National Institute of Health in Maryland, where she worked in administration for the next 10 years. After John retired they decided to get out of the cold and move west. They found a home in Glendale, Arizona in 1990 where they settled down.
Rosie loved to watch detective shows on TV. She also loved to watch Bob Ross, who gave painting and art instruction on TV. Rosie loved to paint, so she got all the materials and began. She went on to become very good at painting. She sold some of her pieces at work, and many others are still with her sons. Rosie also loved flowers and being in the out-doors. Rosie’s passion and life was being a mother. She loved her boys more then anything in the world.
Rosie leaves behind her sons, John, David and Patrick Schluth. She is preceded by her husband John J. Schluth, and will be laid to rest with him on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 9am., at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.
