Sally Longbons

Sally grew up in the far West Valley, where she attended Dysart grade and high schools. As the oldest of four, Sally was the big sister to Sandra, Jackie and Bill. Sally made lifelong friendships working at the Pendergast School District where she retired after many years. Following her retirement, Sally and Dale moved to Strawberry, Arizona where she was an avid gardener. She cherished memories playing Bunko with her friends, spending time with her children and grandchildren and taking weekend trips to Laughlin with her husband, Dale. Sally was known affectionately by her grandchildren as “Mammy,” and they enjoyed fond memories visiting Glendale Glitters each Christmas, fishing in the Strawberry Lake, going swimming in the East Verde River and enjoying the country life.

To all she knew, Sally was a friendly, warm person who radiated positivity. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Sally is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dale Longbons, her daughter Christina Jenkins (John), her son, Steve Longbons (Lindsay), as well as her four grandchildren: Chandler (Ceasar), Jacob, Drew and Josh.
