I was so surprised and saddened to receive the news of Aunt Susan's passing. Even though I didn't get the opportunity to see her as often as I would of liked, when I did, she had my full attention. Her personality was big and when she spoke she had my attention. She was a very beautiful,bright and confident lady. I will never forget her. She will be missed.

I sit here with a saddened heart and a tear in  my eye as I reflect on what Aunt Susan meant to me. We shared a type of bond that was based on unconditional love for each other. Even though it was years between our seeing each other, it was like time had barely passed. The last few times I saw Susan I was visiting my friend in Glendale and I made a special point to visit Susan. My friend Debbie and Susan hit it off and even went out to eat several times. Susan was a loving and caring person and is already and will alwaysbe missed.

Susan was a very sweet person.  She brought happiness to the people around her.  She was thoughtful and caring.  Both me and my mom were always happy to see her.  I remember going to Las Vegas with Susan years ago, and for the first time I got to know my Aunt & see how much personality and life she had, and how big her heart was.  

I'm thankful for the memories I have of Susan, that will last for the rest of my life.  She was a wonderful person, and I miss her.   I'm proud to know I'm related to Susan.  It makes me feel more full of life to know she was my Aunt.

I never dreamed that I would be helping to write my younger sister's obituary. Her death came unexpectedly and I think I am still in denial.

Susan was a rare and special person and you knew it while in her presence. Her relationships reached far and wide and she new a multitude of people.  When she walked into a room, you knew she had arrived.

I remember the day that she was born, she was the fourth of four sisters. I was addicted to babies, and as a five year old, I would now have my very own.  When mother called to say we had another sister, I was thrilled, but my parents were unsure what to name her. I named her Susan, and my mother added the name of her sister, Elizabeth, for the middle name, and on October 21, 1947, Susan Elizabeth entered our lives.

Susan was a good baby, and I loved caring for her, I even shared a room with her. She was very independent, and in her early adulthood, she feel in love with Arizona and moved there and became a realtor. She has many relationships, both personal and professional, in California and Arizona. She had many new and innovative ideas, and put them to use to become the very successful realtor that she become.

How could my sisters and I have lost our baby sister so soon, too soon?   She was a vital woman who loved life, and while it is now obvious that she had some kind of condition that caused her death, she had chosen not to share the information with us.

Enjoy every moment with your family and friends. If a relationship is in need of repair, repair it now. In case, there is no tomorrow with a loved one, make sure and tell them you love them more than they will ever know.  My regret is having so little opportunity to spend time with her once she moved to Arizona, and not having the opportunity to hug her, tell her how much I loved her and say goodbye for now.

You have found your way to this site and so you have discovered the sad news that she has passed on. Susan was a wonderful friend, a true believer in the importance of family, an avid art collector and supporter of all performing arts. She loved and cared for all animals who crossed her path and rescued as many critters as possible. Words cannot express my grief. I miss her so.
