Thaddeus White (Mrs. White) born to Edna McBroom and Jesse Hatten on August 21, 1923 in Hughes Springs Texas. Thaddeus attended Prairie view A&M university where she majored in English and culinary arts. Thaddeus move to Phoenix Arizona met and married Essie white and the lovely couple had four boys, she was “mama” in Every sense of the word teaching the value of family. She always said, “if family doesn’t do for family, who will do for family?”
Thaddeus and her family moved to Casa Grande Arizona where she worked as a homemaker, school teachers assistant at Mary C O’Brien and became the first black clothing store owner in Casa Grande Az. Returning to Phoenix in 1984, Thad was a member of the Royalettes a high society black teachers social club, that was very active in the community, broadening the horizons, and removing barriers for many young aspiring black teachers.
Mrs. White returned to Phoenix and became a member and steward at Phillips Memorial C.M.E. Church where she served her Lord and Savior, church, and community. Thaddeus can be accredited for spreading the gospel to a countless number of souls. Mama later became grandmama and helped raise her grandchildren, Teaching agape love, the importance of knowing Christ, and proper grammar until the very end. Grandmama became great grand and lived to help love her many great grandchildren as well as great great grandchildren whom she was able to visit and talk with.
Thaddeus was always the life of the party and the person anyone wanted to be around with her undeniable sense of humor, wit, Grace, and class.
Thaddeaus is survived by her youngest son James White of Phoenix a Arizona
grand children Edward White Jr and spouse(Deidre) of Tucson Arizona, Cedrea White of California, James E White of California, Misty Ivory of New York, Nikeda Gaines Dedrick Gulley Tiffany White Terrence White Sandtresa White all of Phoenix Arizona. 24 Great grandchildren and 30 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Husband Essie White, children Edward White DeWayne white and Cedric White and Grande children Caleb and Demari
