Theodore Roosevelt Strong

Theodore R. Strong was born on April 26, 1929 in West Point, Mississippi to late Josh Strong and Beatrice (Quinn) Strong. He was the youngest of the three sons.

Theodore attended Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and graduated in 1954. Shortly there afterwards, he was drafted to the Military (Army) and spent 2 years in the Arm Forces in Germany.

In 1956 Theodore married Ionia M. Webster and four children were born to this union, Adis E. Strong, Jimmie H. Strong Sr., Alex H. Strong, and Anthony W. Strong Sr.

Theodore was an active member of the church, “LIGHT OF THE WORLD”, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, before moving to Peoria, Arizona to live with his daughter.

Theodore made a peaceful transition to his Heavenly home on August 20, 2023.

He leaves to mourn his passing his four children, Adis, Jimmie Sr., Alex (Terrie – wife), and Anthony Sr., one stepdaughter Zelda Casher, mother of his children, Ionia M. Strong, grandchildren, Jimmie Jr., Angela, (Amanda preceded in death), Anthony Jr., Marcus, Joshua and Ethan, twelve great grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, Rev. Harreld Webster and Rev Isaiah Webster, one sister-in-law, Harriett Harris, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
