It is not the same coming into work and not seeing you outside on the front steps smoking your cigarette, waiting for the first person to arrive because you didn't want a key to the place. You thought having a key would make you to responsible. I miss you so much, I miss you looking at me with your eyes crossed LOL and I will especially miss hearing you call me ROCKHEAD. You'll aways be my Lil Tom Tom.

The first time I met Tom, I was scared of him, but then I was a kid. Through the years I learned that he was such a wonderful person - nice, funny, caring, and a big Teddy Bear. I wish that I could have spent more time with him and Karen and their family, to get to know them better. I will miss his laugh, and all the e-mails he would send, serious or funny. He was a gem in all of our lives, and a very special Uncle who will be greatly missed.

When I think of my brother Tom I remember the love he had for his and all of our family. He did what ever he could to help when we needed it.
I miss him and his death has left a deep void in my life. Sue, Connie and Scott you are in my prayers. Love you guys.

Your spirit and light like no other! You always brought Sunlight & Smiles with you and I loved your hugs. I will never forget you because you left a mark on my heart and always a smile on my face.  Blessed to have known you and worked with you.  Till we meet again Sir....your family has my thoughts and prayers!

Tom, I miss seeing you every day to work and our little talk about life and friends and past sharing with me your stories and have you by us was more than a blessing, yours with respect Valentin Vitan and you Greenwood family,  deepest sympathy and condolence to the family.

I'll always remember my dad as loving and tough-he had expectations of how his children should behave and we knew it. I admire how he went through life with humor and grace even in the toughest of times.  I'll miss our talks. 
I love you and miss you Dad.

My Gramps was a cool guy!  We had a lot of good times together, he took me to  the races, we went camping, he played Wii games with me, played in the pool and got to go on road trips together. He always talked to me, even when I didn't want him to. He was always there for me.  But I will always remember the way we said goodbye to each other, we always called each other silly names until one of us was out of sight. I will miss you forever Stinky. I love you Farty!!

We have two of our favorite stories that we would like to share about Tom.

#1.  While Tom, Karen and family were living in Prescott, one of Tom's favorite things to do was to take the Senator Highway and go to Crown King and mess around.  On one of these trips it was just Tom and I.  I always brought along snacks to eat, and this particular time I purchased a rather large hard salami sausage.  When I pulled it out of the bag Tom exclaimed, "What the hell is that, a donkey dick?"   We each tried a slice of it and it was like eating lard.  We hung it from a tree limb and proceeded to fill it full of lead.  I'm sure anyone else seeing that poor thing hanging there wondered what happened.

#2. This is one of Cathy's favorite memories of Tom, and mine too.  I really doubt that anyone knows that Tom holds the record for the highest jump ever made from a sitting position by a fat short guy!  We were fishing on the Verde River one afternoon, many years ago, the three of us were sitting on the bank when a little snake came swimming up the river.  He disappeared right in front of us and I noticed that Tom was getting a little fidgety. I asked him what was wrong and he said he didn't like snakes.  Well, just about that time that little snake comes crawling right up on the bank between Tom's legs. I've never seen Tom move any faster in my life.  He went straight up from a sitting position about three feet in the air; straight back about five feet and landed on his feet running.  We could barely see him, the air was so blue.  He about scared the snake out of his skin too!
Cathy and I are going to really miss Tom.  We had most of our fun many years ago and unfortunately because of all of our circumstances we hadn't been able to be around him as much as we would have liked to in the recent year.

Tom, being 22 years younger than you, I do not have a lot of memories.  However, I do remember you were always the one mom and dad called on when assistance was needed.  You were the one that came to the rescue, You were also the one who made me realize that my responsibility to the family was more important then anything else.  I always knew that if I ever ran into trouble or needed assistance with anything I could call you. I miss you lots, even though we did not see each other much, you were there.

I miss my friend,my father-in law every day.He and Karen were a huge part of my life,Connie`s life,and Jaiden`s life. Many times a day someone says something or does something that makes me think of Tom or Karen.I miss you and I love you (Tom would hate that).

I have such great memories of Tom. The very first was when he told me his high school gym locker combination (..hey that  was a big deal to a 5 year old sister ??) and the several road trips we took together down through the years. They were not always a happy reason for the trip, but he always knew how to make them fun and full of crazy memories. I sure love and  miss you big brother!

So many wonderful memories  of Tom and Karen. Tom what a wonderful example you were of being a loving husband, your family is blessed having you for their Dad. I love to think back of all the great times we had together as friends in Life Group at our home and the other fun times together. We are really blessed to call you friend, looking forward to seeing you in heaven and walking the streets of gold together.
We miss you both!

So many wonderful memories of you Tom. Having had the sheer joy of growing up with you, there are more than I could tell. You had an uncanny ability to defuse any iffy situation, when needed. Like the time you, Karen, Bryan and I went to a fast food restaurant in Sacramento. Karen was pregnant with Sue. A kid decided he wanted to fight Bryan. You calmed it down...and got back in the car, and suddenly our car was surround by about 20 guys with clubs and chains. You sighed...got out...told Bryan to be cool...and walked over to the lead guy. I have NO idea what you said...but after a few tense moments..the gang dispersed and you and Bryan got back in the car. Thats how you did things. Quietly, firmly, and with class. Love and miss you so much.

Sue Connie and Scott (and the rest of your families), I just want you to know that your Dad was among the best there was. I loved his love for your Mom and you kids. He was always a favorite part of my life and I will miss him so much. We do have the joy of knowing we will see him and your mom one day. Remember that when your heart aches to see him. I love you all!

He was a beautiful person, witty and fun and loved his family! He has a beautiful wife to join but will be surely missed by family left behind.

Such a wonderful character.  I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to know him.

Not a day goes by Dad that I don't reach for the phone to call you or think about driving over to your house to see you.  I miss you more than words can say!  Thank you for your strength, guidance humor and laughter.  Love you dad.

Happy Birthday Tom!!! I wish I could call you and give you a hard time about being an old man.

My Buddy, My Friend, My Surrogate "Fill In" Dad, not a day has gone by that you haven't crossed my mind. Some days I miss you a little and some days I miss you alot, but everyday I miss you. I will miss our morning and afternoon chats. I will miss not getting your voicemails until 4 day later, but most of all I will miss your hugs and all your stories. Man O' Man did you have some stories. I hope you are enjoying your "chicken" Love and Miss ya, buddy

Susan, Connie, Scott and family.  I am so sorry for you loss! Tony has said alot about his brother!  Just wait till his Celebration of life!  You have been in my prayers---I am Tony's mother-in-law!

Con, Dan and JD. I am so so sorry to hear of your FATHER'S passing. His ornery spirit will FOREVER remain in my brain with precious memories of him. It brings me great comfort that your MOTHER is now in the BEST company of the man she adored. May the both be reunited once again in GOD'S graces. You are ALL in my thoughts and prayers. I LOVE YOU!

Connie and family. I was saddened to hear of your loss. I remember the stories you shared Connie of your parents. They have left you with many great memories.  Cherish them and always remember.  My thoughts are with you all during this sad time.

I loved that crazy Dad of yours,  to be accepted as a true friend of his was an honor. He will forever be missed as your Mom is.  I count it an honor to have known them and will enjoy many wonderful memories of time spent with them. I look forward to seeing them again in heaven.

You were one cool guy.  Thanks for being my buddy.  You wouldn't take any nonsense from anyone, yet you had one of the biggest hearts I've known.  You may seem grumpy to some, but those of us who knew you, loved your humor, kind-heartedness and especially your crooked little grins.  You were SO funny!  I loved it when you would say "well I kinda like you too, kid". Sending you lots of love as you float around the universe.  Just know that you'll always be my "go straight" guy!  Ha!  Stop by every once and a while and visit me, will ya? ;-)

Some people just make you smile and you are instantly comfortable in their presence.  Tom was that type of person.  With his sideways grins and a shoulder hug you knew that he was an instant friend.  I will miss this phenomenal man.  My sincere condolences to all of his family, friends and coworkers.  To know Tom is to smile and have peace - you were one of the fortunate ones here on earth. I only had the pleasure of knowing Tom for a few months after I moved to Greenwood and in that time looked forward to seeing him every day.  He was never at a loss for words and through those words you could not help but put a smile on your face.  Will miss him alot.
