Our mother, Vera J. Martinez,78, born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully surrounded by her children and granddaughter on May 1, 2017. Vera was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to seven children, fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. Vera is survived by her children Sabrina Lechuga (Reynaldo), Yvonne Martinez, Joe Martinez, Camille Harbolt, Phillip Martinez, and Denise Ordaz (Sergio); Siblings: three sisters and two brothers. Vera is predeceased by her parents Nieves M. and Elvira D. Morquecho, late husband Joe D. Martinez, brother Robert D. Morquecho, and son Keith J. Martinez (Saly). Vera was the matriarch of our family who portrayed love, wisdom, and amazing strength.
