Viola Elvie King, 98, of Sun City, passed away on March 11, 2020, in Sun City, Arizona. She was born on May 23, 1921 to the late Algia Vandal and Charlotte Effie (Krum) King in Glendale, Arizona. She lived 66 years with her loving husband, Earl Raymond Donahue. Viola grew up on a dairy farm and worked in agriculture, but her true passion was the work she did in health and wellness and the health food industry. She was a prayerful and faithful woman and an active member of the Lakeview United Methodist Church, where she made many friends and loved to serve. Viola was a lifelong learner, knowledgeable in plants and herbs, and had a keen talent for embroidery and sewing. She was a prize winning quilter and in recent years donated a quilt to the Peoria Community Center for display.
Viola is survived by her three children; Charlotte Conover, Rosella Christler and Orville Durden, 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren, younger brother Virgil King, loving care givers, Kathie and Roger Dupont, devoted friend, Ryan Farnsley and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Raymond Donahue, her son Earl Raymond Donahue Jr, and granddaughter, Erin Alisa Donahue, 4 sisters and a brother, along with many more cherished family and friends. She will be sorely missed and is lovingly remembered by her family and dear friends.
