

Virginia L Armenta, 87, of Tempe, Arizona passed away on October 2, 2021 peacefully in her home. Virginia was born in Yuma, Arizona on July 26, 1934 to Thomas and Opal (Ellis, Carter) Williams, one of four children. Virginia grew up in Yuma, Arizona where she attended school.
Virginia had a career as a Quality Control Inspector, when where she retired.
Virginia met the love of her life, Ramon, and they had an immediate connection. They started dating and have been together ever since, over 44 years. Virginia and Ramon were inseparable. Prior to covid they loved attending spring training games and watching baseball on TV. They liked to go to the movies; not to watch anything specific, but just to be there and have popcorn with extra salt and butter. They enjoyed going out to dinner or just picking something up and going home to watch TV and eat. Virginia looked forward to her birthday when Ramon would surprise her with a cake and roses.
Virginia will be remembered for her kindness and her smile that brightened up a room.
She leaves behind her love of 44 years, Ramon; her brother John Carter; and her nieces & nephews Gloria Bell, Donna Ellis, and Larry Moody with his son Loren.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Ellis and Opal (Wilson) Carter; and her siblings Jeannie Moody & Ford Ellis.
A visitation for Virginia will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. A graveside service will occur Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301.
