Virginia Rose Mesa

Virginia Rose Mesa, age 89, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Lawton, Oklahoma to Maime and Jesus Arriaga, Virginia was one of twelve siblings in a large and loving family. She spent her childhood growing up in Wasco, California, where she learned the value of hard work, resilience, and caring for others from an early age.

As a young girl, Virginia helped her family work in the fields of San Joaquin, California, experiences that shaped her strong spirit and unwavering determination throughout her life. She later became a truck driver, a career that ultimately led her to meeting the love of her life, Fernando Mesa. Together they built a beautiful life and home in Arizona, spending more than 55 years together.

Virginia dedicated herself to caring for others as a nursing aide, retiring after a career marked by compassion, kindness, and service. She carried that same nurturing spirit into every part of her life, especially within her family.

Virginia created a home filled with love and laughter for their children, twelve grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. She was always opening her heart and home to those she loved. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she devoted her life to supporting, guiding, and caring for them.

Virginia will be remembered for her incredible strength, selflessness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and all who were blessed to know her.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

Visitation will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301, US, on May 11, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

A Committal Service will take place at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301, US, on May 11, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
