William “Bill” H. Howard, 90, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully with his family at his side on March 5, 2019. Bill was born on June 16, 1928 to Hiram and Ruth (Sutton) Howard in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. Bill grew up in Pennsylvania with his brother Ed and upon leaving high school joined the Air Force. During his service, Bill, worked in transportation and promoted up to a Staff Sergeant. After his military service he moved to Arizona where he met and married in 1970, the love of his life Mary and then shared 4 children. Bill and Mary operated their own business, processing and filing legal documents with the courts. Bill also worked as a machinist with Layke Tool and Manufacturing Company and as a security guard for Sanderson Ford. Bill will be greatly missed and remembered for his dedication and kindness.
Bill leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Mary; children Becky (Nelson) Koontz, Robert (Ann) Howard, Sandra (Allan) Jones and Edward (Keith Peri) Brogan: grandchildren Amber, Angelique, Derek, Kelly, the twins James and Casey, Adam, and Nathan; 12 great grandchildren: and 1 great great grandchild due to arrive sometime in May and nephew Mark Howard.
He is preceded in death by his brother Ed and his grandson John Howard.
