Our dear family and friends, Our dear Mi Amor (Anacleto L. Rodavia) was called home by our Lord to rest in the radiance of heaven’s light on August 4, 2015 at 3:52 am at his abode in Pasadena. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Aparicion, children: Edgardo and Marilou, Rose and Frederick, Nerissa and Bernard, Jennifer, Jay-R and Rose and Aubrey and Quintin and Kareen; and grandchildren: Jessa, Jasper, Judy Ann, Lee Jerome, Carl, Kevin, Joshua, Sophia Bianca, Tristan, Caitlyn, Tisha Nicole and Calvin Kyle Our family is inviting you to join us in his memorial services at Callanan, Woods & Scovern Mortuary. Anacleto Rodavia's Odyssey

A Return Trek to His Creator

The course of a human life necessarily takes a divine to human beginning and a divine conclusion. From his natural conception, which was the prelude to his return journey, the existential realities, events in Anacleto's life had taken him to rungs in his ladder of ascent to God.

In God's eternal pre-determination, Anacleto, the second fruit of Evaristo Rodavia and Flordelis Labiano's spousal love (the 1st rung) was born into this world on May 29, 1946 in Tabiguian, Caramoan, Camarines Sur, Philippines.

The family setting and his relationship with his siblings: Rosario, Eduardo, Lourdes, Danilo, Domingo, Leopoldo, Jesus, Aida, Vilma and Imelda constituted the 2nd rung.

The 3rd rung involved his education, training and work experience in which he graduated from United High School in Caramoan, Camarines Sur and attended the E.A.R.N. Trade School where he obtained his expertise that equipped him to receive his licensure in Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning & Refrigeration. His career began with Geracon Engineering Company in Quezon City as Aircon Technician. He got hired by Kentron International Limited serving the U.S. Air Force bases in Guam and Hawaii for six years. He established his own business in HVAC known as A.L.R. Industries in Mandaluyong for 10 years prior to migration to United States. His entrepreneurial abilities in HVAC progressively succeeded for 24 years as a certified HVAC expert in the State of California.

His marriage to Aparicion Villones Herrero on April 29, 1965 engendered 6 children:

1. Edgardo, married to Marilou graduated from Feati University with B.S. in Commerce;

2. Rose, married to Frederick Dedace, Vice-President , Legal Counsel of Arellano University, is currently the Dean of School of Education In Arellano University;

3. Nerissa, now married to Bernard, graduated from UST with BS in Medical Technology

4. Jennifer, earned her BS in Dentistry from Centro Escolar University;

5. Jay-R, married to Rose, graduated from Arellano University with a BS in Computer Science; and

6. Aubrey, married to Quintin, graduated as Cum Laude from UST with BS in Hotel & Restaurant Management

This forged the 4th rung, capped by the 50th wedding jubilee on April 29, 2015.

Migrating in 1991 to the United States, put into good use his forte, virtue-wise. His silent assistance and championing the cause of the low income members of the 2000 Hail Marys Group by assisting them in all aspects of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing and carpentry; his witnessing of lived virtues of love, faith, hope, humility, understanding, patience as a servant of God fashioned the 5th rung.

The 6th rung, God's work of transformation during the last few weeks of his life, wrought by physical sufferings consequent to - loss of mobility, inability to eat and drink, to sing and talk, to open his eyes, , did not preclude his communication of peace, harmony, mutual forgiveness to his loved ones. His dear wife’s presence and support boosted his energy and morale. The grace of pain was indeed some surgical touch that hopefully eliminated the alloy in his spiritual inscape and lineament, to the praise of God's glory when he finally returned to his creator.

In Thanksgiving for

• All the graces and blessings God had bestowed on our dear Mi Amor Anacleto Rodavia during his lifetime;

• For his allotted portion of physical and emotional sufferings served as alchemy, meant by the Lord to purge the dross from his spiritual physiognomy and transform him into the likeness of His Son;

• For a peaceful pass-over to the bosom of the Father and the shores of eternity.

Let us pray the TE DEUM

You are God, we praise You; You are the Lord we acclaim You. You are the eternal Father, all creation worship You. To You all angels, all the powers of heaven, cherubim and seraphim, sing in endless praise: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of power and might heaven and earth are full of Your glory.

The glorious company of Apostles praise You; the noble fellowship of prophets praise You; the white-robed army of martyrs praise You.

Throughout the world the holy Church acclaims You, Father of majesty unbounded, Your true and only Son, worthy of all worship, and the Holy Spirit, advocate and guide.

You, Christ are the king of glory, the eternal Son of the Father. When You became man to set us free, You did not spurn the Virgin's womb. You overcame the sting of death, and opened the Kingdom of heaven to all believers. You are seated at God's right hand in glory. We believe that You will come and be our Judge.

Come then Lord and help Your people, bought with the price of your own blood and bring us with Your saints to glory everlasting.

Final Prayer

Lord, man's life is nothing else but a journey towards You. Our dear Anacleto Rodavia has attained the apex of his journey and You have called him to Yourself on August 4, 2015.

May his life lived as a dutiful son to his parents, brother to his siblings, a husband to his wife, and dedicated father to his children, and a kind uncle and friend, ready to assist those in need, be a hymn of praise to Your glory, through Your Son, in the love of the Holy Spirit.

In Your merciful love, may he now sing Your praises in the company of the Blessed Mother and all the angels and saints in heaven.

For all of us who are advancing with our own return journey to the Father, may God continue to fashion us for Himself as eternal gifts, to the praise of His glory. AMEN.
